Non-PIR Controllers for urinal cisterns

The original flush controllers that work by sensing a drop in water pressure or utilise a simple timer to control the fill of a urinal cistern. Most chooses the more efficient PIR models these days.

Cistermiser - Standard Pressure Valve

Cistermiser - Standard Pressure Valve

STD 6073/A

One of the original flush controllers from 25 years ago, this Cistermiser works by sensing the drop in water pressure caused by hand washing.
No electronics, no sensors. They are still chosen by some, nevertheless.

How it works
The Cistermiser hydraulic valve is installed on the supply pipe to the urinal cistern.
The valve is activated by short-term pressure drops created by use of taps or WCs on the same supply.
The valve is normally closed; when it is activated it opens and water passes to the urinal cistern until the pressures on both sides of the valve are equalised.
When the cistern is full the auto-siphon will flush.

Low Flush Urinal Cistern Timer (1-15 hour) Cistern Purge

Low Flush Urinal Cistern Timer (1-15 hour) Cistern Purge

FCV01-B

Mains version OUT OF STOCK - More due in Mid-January.

This Ultra-Low Flush controller can initiate a flush every 7 days so that the standing water in the cistern and flush pipes will be regularly 'purged', thus usually avoiding the need to carry out a dead-leg procedure to minimise the risk of legionella. This controllers  is also used in conjunction with Gentworks Urinal Maintenance Devices operating in waterless mode for sites where the weekly dosing procedure is difficult to adhere to.  For example, if the expectation is that urinals may only be dosed with Bactericidal Cleaner every 2 to 3 weeks rather than weekly, then the Ultra-Low Flush controller will help to ensure that debris is flushed away regularly. This is not as effective as weekly dosing but is a good compromise.
