Waterless Urinal Starter Kits and Retrofit Solutions for Standard Urinals

A smaller version of the long-established GW6 cartridge, the GW6-15 is designed to fit urinals that take a 1.5" BSP waste outlet. It has been thoroughly tested at customer sites and in the laboratory, with many refinements being made since its introduction in 2017. The GW6-15 allows odour-free operation in waterless urinals as well as those being low flushed, even if only once per week. It also works with normal flush frequencies but the main purpose of the cartridge is usually to save water, and therefore reduce carbon footprint.

A special silicone formula used in production of the dual "skirt" valves gives good tolerance of common cleaning chemicals within the pH range of 4 to 10. Typical life is 6 to 9 months but harsher cleaning products may reduce this.

The hole diameter required in the ceramic of the urinal to accommodate this conversion kit is 50mm +/-1.5 mm

Recommended to be used in conjunction with Bactericidal Cleaner; sluicing once every 2 weeks, to extend valve life and keep waste pipes clear.

Aquafree/AquaShield Urinal Maintenance Devices are simply retrofitted into existing pipework. They combat smells and blockages whilst eliminating the need for water. The contents of the standard Waterless Start-up Kits enable urinals to operate with no flushing for a period of 3 months, after which new Aquafree cartridges will be required. Microbes dispensed by the cartridges break down the uric acid salts and other contents of urine, while regular use of Bactericidal Cleaner helps keep the pipework free from body fats, hair, and other debris.

Falcon High-Performance Key Valve Starter/Conversion Kit
Ideal for high-traffic areas, this model features an innovative "bell-valve" that ensures faster flow while preventing odours. The Key-Ring dispenses ingredients to help reduce pipe blockages and serves as a cartridge replacement indicator as it fades.
The hole diameter required in the ceramic of the urinal to accommodate this conversion kit is 50mm ± 1.5mm.
No trap or U-bend required, but needs well-vented pipework.
Typical lifespan: 3–4 months (may be shorter with harsh cleaning products).

We've created adaptors to retrofit GW6 into other brands of waterless urinals.

GW6 valves typically last around 6 months, with replacement valves costing less than £35.00. Moreover, they don't require blocking fluid or expensive specialised cleaning products. This makes GW6 a good option for the hire market when installed in welfare cabins.

We offer an adaptor to convert the Uridan waterless Crew Troughs to the GW6, eliminating the need for blocking fluid. Additionally, another adapter is available to convert URIMAT polycarbonate waterless urinals.

Please be advised that professional installation is necessary for these adaptors. The original system must be removed from the urinal, and the new GW6 adapter installed and connected to the drain. See fitting instructions in the Product Data Sheets tab above.

If you're considering transitioning to waterless urinals and need to replace some or all of your existing urinal bowls, our standard 50cm urinal offers the ideal solution. The classic tear drop shape of this urinal will not look out of place in any washroom.

The spreader hole option provides the flexibility to install a low-flushing solution or convert the urinal back to flushing if needed. On the other hand, the no spreader hole option does not have a hole in the ceramic for a flushing nozzle, making it a genuine waterless urinal.

The 500mm urinals are available in stock and typically delivered within 2-4 working days. However, the 400mm compact models are not stocked, so they have a longer lead time of approximately 7-8 working days.

The Marfa Ceramic Waterless Urinal helps reduce water consumption in commercial washrooms. Its modern design features clean lines and a shroud that conceals waste outlet connections, while still allowing access for maintenance. The urinal is suitable for both horizontal concealed and vertical exposed pipe installations.

• Microbiological System: Aquafree UMD - Replaceable cartridges with microbes break down urine into odourless components. Simple to install and easily connects to existing pipework. Works effectively even with imperfectly vented waste pipes. Regular sluicing is required, and incompatible cleaning products can disable the system.

• Valve Barrier Systems: GW6-15 & Falcon HP Key Valve - One-way valves block foul drain odours and must be connected to well-vented pipework WITHOUT traps. Typically has a longer lifespan, with the Falcon HPKV Version featuring a visual indicator for when replacement is needed. Weekly sluicing is recommended and incompatible cleaning products can damage the valves.

All systems require maintenance and the use of suitable cleaning products for optimal performance, but their significant water savings make them a highly beneficial solution.

This Low Flush controller can initiate a flush every 1-15 hours so that the standing water in the cistern and flush pipes will be regularly 'purged', thus usually avoiding the need to carry out a dead-leg procedure to minimise the risk of legionella.
